I am so glad that I got to know him better along with his amazing story in the final years of his life. Although I knew him for over 30 years I really did not know Pete that well until I interviewed him for this article and also interviewed him on film. You can see that interview and listen to a podcast that I did with him on Youtube. Pete's earliest years were spent living under Hitler's tyranny. He was given the opportunity to move to this country and enjoy it's freedoms. Pete loved his adopted country, his family, and was a great patriot and a great American.
