IT BECAME NECESSARY TO DESTROY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN ORDER TO SAVE IT
The following goals are straight from the Tea Party web site.
15 Non-negotiable Core Beliefs
1. Illegal aliens are here illegally. 2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable. 3. A strong military is essential. 4. Special interests must be eliminated. 5. Gun ownership is sacred. 6. Government must be downsized. 7. The national budget must be balanced. 8. Deficit spending must end. 9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal. 10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must. 11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory. 12. Political offices must be available to average citizens. 13. Intrusive government must be stopped. 14. English as our core language is required. 15. Traditional family values are encouraged.
I agree with every one of these goals and for the life of me I can't understand why every American would not agree with them. The Republican Party won big on many, if not most of these principles in 1994, 2010 and 2014. Lamar Alexander claimed to be the true Conservative in 2014. Yet when the Republicans govern they act more like leftists and weasels. The words are interchangeable. I am actually hearing that there is a faction of the Republican Party which would like to see Ted Cruz win the nomination so he can be destroyed by Hillary Clinton in November. In their perverted way of thinking they believe that this would destroy the Tea Party and eliminate it as a political force in America. Then they will be free to return to their corrupt, status quo ways. This attitude is just as perverted as the idea of destroying the South Vietnamese village of Ben Tre and it's people on February 7, 1968, in order to save it.
My question to the Republicans is how do you think the destruction of the TEA Party will save the Republicans when it has been Conservatism that has put you in office? You ran George H. W. Bush in 1992 and he lost because of abandoning his conservative promise of not raising taxes. Remember, "Read my lips, no new taxes" pledge. Of course there was the memorable milk toast Bob Dole in 1996. Then there was George W. Bush who won by passing himself off as a Conservative but he turned out to be a progressive. He won reelection because Americans didn't want to change horses in the middle of a stream. There was no challenge to Barack Hussein in 2008 and 2012 with the exciting John McCain and Mitt Romney. Bastions of Conservative thought. So now they actually think that they can win with a Paul Ryan or John Kasich. I contend that if you destroy true Conservatism, you destroy all chance of winning in November. Only a true Conservative can bring out the base. The Republicans cannot win otherwise. We still outnumber them. The establishment scorched earth policy may destroy the Conservative movement, but in the end they will end up like the United States of America in Vietnam. Thoroughly defeated.
