CROCODILE TEARS FOR JOHN MCCAIN
Bipartisanship is defined as agreement or cooperation between two political parties that usually oppose each others policies. What it means to the Democrats and the media is that the Republicans cave and agree to everything that the Democrats want. Republicans are then thrown a meaningless bone and that passes for bi-partisan compromise. Democrats in the mainstream media and social media are crying crocodile tears for John McCain right now. Hugely offended that Donald Trump would treat a war hero like McCain with such disrespect. As if they really care for war heroes or the military for that matter. The only reason that they liked him was that he was a useful idiot for them. A master of the pseudo bipartisanship between the Republicans and Democrats. He once said “I believe my party has gone astray. I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy.” Any Republican who could say this about the Democrat Party and mean it has no business being a Republican or much less a senator in my view. Besides being a useful idiot for the Democrat Party they liked McCain because he hated Donald Trump. Anybody that hates Trump will always be their friend. That is until they run for political office against them. Then we see their true colors.
In 2008 John Lewis compared McCain to George Wallace, insinuating that he was a racist. Remember how Trump was raked over the coals for saying that he didn't consider McCain a war hero because he was captured. Obama supporter General Wesley Clark said in 2008 "I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president." Liberal blogger John Aravosis said that "[g]etting shot down, tortured, and then doing propaganda for the enemy is not command experience." A former Obama adviser named Rand Beers argued that McCain's isolation as a POW limited his insight on national security issues. The Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism, a nonpartisan journalism watchdog organization, studied 2,412 stories from 43 newspapers and cable news shows in a six-week period from just after the conventions and ending with the final presidential debate. You guessed it, the overwhelming majority of the coverage of McCain was negative. My attitude towards John McCain changed radically from the time that I shook his hand at a campaign rally for his friend Fred Thompson in 1994 until now. I will always respect his war service but McCain was the epitome of what is wrong with the Republican Party today. He was the biggest frog in the swamp.
