SAVING OUR DEMOCRACY

Alexander Trachtenberg - Activist in the Communist Party USA

Bella Dodd was a teacher, lawyer, and labor union activist. She was a member of the Communist Party USA and the New York Teachers Union in the 1930's and 40's. Dodd was one of the most radical Communists in America until the mid 1940's when she began to see the corruption and hypocrisy of Communism. In 1952 she renewed her old faith as a Catholic and became an anti-communist through the influences of Cardinal Fulton Sheen who was a virulent anti-communist himself. In a speech at Fordham university in 1950 she repeated what a Communist colleague named Alexander Trachtenburg had told her in 1944. He told her " When we get ready to take the United States, we will not take it under the label of Communism; we will not take it under the label of socialism. These labels are unpleasant to the American people, and have been speared too much. We will take the United States under labels we have made very loveable; we will take it under liberalism, under progressivism, under democracy. But take it we will" During senate testimony she said that " There is no doubt in my mind that the Communists will use the schools, and every other educational medium. They will use every educational medium ... from the nursery schools to the universities." V.I. Lenin said "Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted". Bella Dodd, who had been a teacher later regretted the damage that she had done to young minds as a Communist. We are seeing the end game of this 100 year strategy being played out before our very eyes.

The term liberal has been around for a long time. The Founding Fathers were classic liberals. Which means that for them the central problem of politics was the protection of individual freedom or liberty. Willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas. I define myself as a classical liberal. A progressive on the other hand can be defined as of, relating to, or characterized by making progress, use of or interested in new ideas, findings, or opportunities of, relating to, or characterized by making use of or interested in new ideas, findings, or opportunities. So I would describe myself as a progressive also under that definition. The Communists have demonized the term conservative for years. Until I was in my early 30's the last thing that I wanted to be known as was a conservative. To me they were racists and narrow minded bigots. They were the people who were discriminating against blacks and holding women back. They had no tolerance for religious liberty or free thought. The Communists had always identified Southern Democrat segregationists as conservative. The true conservative, however; was the Goldwater and Reagan conservatives which were really classical liberals and they were the founding fathers of the modern conservative movement. This is the conservatism that I identify with. Until the late 1970's and early 1980's liberal was a positive term because of the Communist influences. Yet Communists were hiding behind the term liberal as Trachtenberg predicted until the Reagan conservatives demonized the word. Now the Communists call themselves progressives as they called themselves in the early days of Communism around the turn of the twentieth century. There is nothing progressive about Communism. Communists destroy everything that they touch and everything that is good about America. Conservatives are now referring to these Communists in government, media and education as leftists. Although the term fits better than liberal or progressive I prefer calling them what they really are which is Communists. It would be even more accurate to call them Communists/Fascists since they have used the corporations and the capitalist system to fund and implement their destructive policies. China is their role model. We have to realize that words are powerful. Yet they are only given power by how often we use them. Let's quit playing their game by using their terms. Lets come up with our own that make sense.

One definition of democracy holds that it consists of three main components. These are popular sovereignty, political liberty, and political equality. That is, democracy requires that the people control the government, that people have rights, and that all people have the same amount of political power. Another definition which could also define America's republican form of government is "a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections." These definitions of democracy have been definitions that I have always believed in. Jacobin democracy as was displayed during the French Revolution, or mob rule, is the kind of democracy that we don't want and the Founding Fathers warned against. They went to great pains to design a constitution that would strike a balance between the rights of those in power verses the rights of the people. When I first read the quote from Trachtenberg about how the Communists would eventually take over America by using the words liberal, progressive and Democracy I totally understood what he meant by the first two words but I was not totally understanding the use of the word democracy. In what context was he using that word? I did not understand until I began hearing Biden, Democrat members of the government, the Democrat media and academia talking about "saving our democracy" by defeating and destroying Trump. Their mantra is that Trump and his MAGA minions are a threat to our democracy. It has become a buzz phrase among the Communists. The Democrats idea of democracy is more in line with Joseph Stalin's and Mao Zedong's idea of democracy. The old Soviet Union going back to Stalin and Lenin considered themselves to be a democracy as did China. Democracy is in their names. The Union Of Soviet Social Republics and the Peoples Republic Of China. North Korea's name is even better it goes by the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. Cuba's government is the National Assembly Of The Peoples Power or Republic of Cuba. Vietnam is the Socialist Republic Of Vietnam. Laos is the Peoples Democratic Republic.

What democracy are the Democrats trying to save? The one that complains about Russian dissident Alexey Navalny being imprisoned and murdered because he was a political opponent of Putin but is presently trying to bankrupt and imprison for life it's main political opponent Donald Trump. Or the government that raids their political opponents homes in the middle of the night scaring their families to death for the crime of supporting Donald Trump. Or January 6th protestors receiving the same treatment for just being present at the capital or on capital grounds. Yet the George Floyd rioters that destroyed property, injured and killed at least 24 people were given a slap on the wrist and let go. The George Floyd riots were a protest according to the communists and the capital hill protest on January 6th was a riot. Yes, a few people got out of line but what do you think the inside of the capital would have looked like if a Communist mob had gotten in there? Our protest looked like a bunch of tourists touring the building and respectfully leaving everything intact. Are we talking about the democracy that prosecutes Republican's but ignores the crimes of Democrats like Joe Biden's misuse of classified documents, his influence peddling to China, Ukraine and other countries, and Hillary's destruction of classified documents while being under subpoena for them? Or are you talking about the democracy that forces people to take a dangerous shot against their will? Give up their careers. A shot that does not stop the spread of Covid, or keep a person from dying from it. If you are injured by the shot you can't even sue the government for damages. It is estimated that the Covid shot has already killed 17 million people world wide. Research shows that it can make you more likely to get Covid. Or are you talking about the democracy that has opened our borders and welcomed the entire world to cross into the United States against the wishes of the American people? The democracy that is allowing fentanyl into the country that is killing our citizens by the thousands, allowing criminals to prey on our people, raping, injuring and killing them. Allowing sex traffickers to bring innocent women and children to be exploited sexually. Running up our medical costs and taxes in order to pay for illegals. Once the Communists fully take over do you think that they are going to want open borders? Or are you talking about the democracy that is trying to have people cancelled and censored through social media and limit the consumption of true information? Or are you talking about the democracy that puts good law abiding citizens last and illegal aliens and other undesirables first? The one that calls evil good and good evil. Or the democracy that is spending us into oblivion and making it difficult to even buy groceries and necessities? Or are we talking about the democracy that doesn't trust the American people to vote? The Democrats say that democracy is on the ballot this election. They are right. As long as we get to vote for who we want to and not who the Communists want us to vote for. If Trump is not on the ballot we end up with their democracy.
