THE PRICE OF ILLEGALS

 No one but the Communist left is angry over the arrest and deportations of thousands of violent illegal aliens, sexual predators and D.U.I. offenders but some among the more right leaning patriots of the country get a little jelly legged at the prospect of rounding up illegals whose only sin was crossing the border illegally. They are seen as virtuous hard working people who are simply victims of circumstances trying to escape grinding poverty and oppression for a shot at the "American Dream". Is this really an accurate depiction?

 How many of these people are committing fraud by working on stolen social security numbers? How many of them are driving without a valid drivers license and insurance? How many leave the scene of an accident because they don't have these things? These things drive up our insurance costs. How many are voting illegally canceling out the vote of legal American citizens? How many are being paid in cash under the table avoiding the payment of income taxes? All of the things that I have listed are crimes.


 Then there is the fact that these illegals drive up our medical and insurance costs up when they visit emergency rooms or doctors without the ability to pay. These costs are shifted to those of us who can pay or have medical insurance causing our premiums to skyrocket. They help overwhelm an already strained medical system causing the rest of us delays in getting appointments. Longer waits in the emergency rooms and many ER's are forced to shut down.


Our wages are lowered because of the hiring of low wage illegals. Our taxes are raised in order to build more schools to accommodate the influx of illegal school children not to mention the influx of new legal children whose parents are driven out of Communist run blue states seeking a better life in such free states as Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, and Florida just to name a few.


No, anyone in this country that is illegal needs to go back to their country of origin and work to change their own country for the better like our own forefathers did in this country. Then maybe I won't have to attend another high school graduation where students were waving or wrapping themselves in their country's flag as they walked across the stage to grab their diploma. I couldn't help but think that if your country is so great then why are you in my country? No, if you can't adopt my country and love it like I do, I don't want you here. America, love it or leave it.

  Allen Platt was like many bigoted Southern white men in 1954. He would say 'My dad always said Blacks had their place,'' This belief was challenged in October 1954. The Lake County Florida Sheriff Willis McCall paid Platt a visit in his  Mount Dora home. There had been complaints about his children. There were many people who believed the family was Black because of their dark skin color and curly hair. McCall was pretty sure that they had ''nigra'' blood, as he called it. The sheriff told him "You don't belong here. You are trying to mix with white people." Platt told him 'I'm as White as you are and come from better stock." Under the law at that time you were accepted into White society if you only had one-sixteenth black blood. If you had one-eighth you were considered Black. NASHVILLE AND JESSE JAMES

The James brothers with their mother Zerelda James   Most everyone has heard of the notorious outlaws Jesse and Frank James, however; did you know that they lived in Nashville from 1875 until March 1881? Jesse's oldest son Jesse James Jr. was born in Nashville along with his sister Mary. Jesse Jr. was born at 606 Boscobel Street on August 31, 1875. Mary was born on West Hamilton Road in Bordeaux on July 17, 1879. Jesse Jr. went by the name Tim and as far as he knew his last name was Howard. He and his sister would not know their real last names until after Jesse was killed in 1882. Jesse and his wife Zerelda would also lose two male twins in infancy.  Jesse's brother Frank lived on Clarksville Pike.
