THE LAND OF PROMISE

 Many people try to say that God created evil because he created satan or the angel Lucifer as he was called prior to his fall from heaven. God did not create evil because everything God creates is good. Lucifer was created in a state of perfection. Angels, like humans were created as free moral agents. In other words they had the power of choice because without that ability there can be no love. Lucifer chose eternal damnation over eternal paradise.The Bible says of Lucifer "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." Ezekiel 28:15. It is incredible to me that Lucifer would give up a perfect world and the position that he held in heaven in exchange for his own kingdom and for eternal damnation. Lucifer was literally in the presence of God because he was one of the two covering angels that covered the Mercy seat of the Arc of the Covenant where God the father sat on his throne. Ezekiel 28:14 says Thou art the anointed cherub ( angel ) that covereth. Ezekiel 28: 16 “By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. 

 Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Lucifer wanted to be God. Isaiah 14:12-14 says How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. For Lucifer's rebellion the Bible says, after a war in heaven, Lucifer along with a third of all the angels were cast down to his kingdom here on earth. Revelation 12:1212 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 1 Peter 5:8 also says "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8. Satan has done his work well. He has deceived a multitude of people over the years and is responsible for countless death and destruction.

 Many times I have wondered in awe about how fortunate and blessed I am. Of the billions of people who have been born on this earth somehow I was one of the few to have been born in the United States of America. Even when America suffered from the sin of slavery, segregation, sexism and bigotry people were flocking to the land of opportunity. In the last 50 years we have become the most egalitarian society on earth and the most prosperous. Although we are not perfect we are the closest thing to a heaven on earth that man could ever devise. If not for the evil people leading the Democrat party and those in the Republican party who try to maintain the status quo for their own gain. If not for the evildoers who possess the character of satan we could almost obtain a real utopia unlike the mythical utopia that the Communists strive for. Like Lucifer the left is not satisfied with their lot. They are compelled to work to destroy heaven in order to create hell. What the good people of America are fighting is evil. It is spiritual darkness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 

I will close with the words of Gene Simmons, the lead singer of the rock group KISS. These words were delivered by him with deep emotion while fighting back tears. He was paying tribute to our veterans during a surprise visit at the Pentagon on May 16, 2019. 

Simmons said “I’m a proud son of a concentration camp survivor of Nazi Germany. My mother was 14 when she was in the camps. My mother just passed at 93. But if Americans could see and hear my mother talk about America, they would understand. Simmons said that the family lived in Israel when he was born but moved to America when he was young. His mother worked six days a week, but every evening they’d sit down and watch the news. And every night, the national anthem would play as a jet flew through the air. “And every time my mother saw the flag, she’d start crying,” he said. “As an 8-year-old boy, I didn’t understand why, but from my mother’s point of view, we were finally safe. I may have been born in the country that people throughout history have referred to as the Promised Land, but take my word for it—America is the Promised Land, for everybody. And don’t be ashamed, don’t hesitate,” he added. “We need to teach young people to be comfortable with saying ‘God bless America.’ End of my story.”
