THE REAL TURNING POINT

The Communists refer to anyone bold enough to tell the truth as being divisive. Well I guess Jesus was divisive. All he did was claim to be God in the flesh, heal folks and preach the gospel. They crucified him for it. As I was searching various news sources yesterday for updates on the condition of Charlie Kirk the Communist news was describing him as far right. The lunatics on the left are never described as far left. Only conservatives are described that way. We live in an age when truth is considered radical. If the vast majority of people in this country believe that there are only two sexes and it is impossible to change your sex who is being divisive? Is it the person in the minority who believes that there are many genders or the person who sides with with the majority and believes in the biological reality that there are only two sexes. Or how about crime and open borders. Most people want less crime and our borders closed to illegal immigration. Who is divisive? The people in the majority wanting less crime and closed borders or the minority who want more crime and open borders?

I was 18 years old the night that I heard of Martin Luther Kings assassination on April 4, 1968. I remember hearing many of my white co-workers saying things like "I hope that SOB dies or :it's about time". Although I wasn't as knowledgeable about politics and history as I am now I was saddened to hear that he had been shot. I was a Democrat then but unlike many white Democrats I realized that MLK was a force for good. White people, and many to this day, still believe that MLK was a troublemaker and an agitator. I remember debating a man on this subject not long after King was shot and I thought he was going to attack me. He was so angry that the veins were popping out of his neck and his eyes were bulging. It reminds me of Trump Derangement Syndrome today. Many blacks were moving toward militancy and he was helping to keep the lid on violence. He truly believed in non violence and the teachings of Jesus, along with the teachings of Ghandi and Thoreau. Sometimes trouble would break out during an MLK protest but it was always a fringe element who MLK could not control. They were not trained in non violence and did not believe in its principles. After his death America exploded in violence, looting and rioting. I believe that MLK would have been disappointed in the violent reaction to his death.

After hearing about the assassination of Charlie Kirk yesterday I was reminded of the hateful rhetoric that I heard after MLK's death .It was coming from the same political party on social media and in the Communist mainstream media. Charlie Kirk, like MLK, was a visionary. He was striving for a better tomorrow. Not only for himself but for his children. Both had a dream. Charlie, like MLK, was a man of peace. His method was moral suasion. Charlie was changing minds by challenging people to think and he was very successful. Truth was his weapon and this is why they had to kill him. He.loved people and he was hoping to see them redeemed through the power of the gospel and the power of truth. There is nothing more glorious than to see an embittered and cynical leftist, or a sinner, transformed by the truth. This was his reward. There were many similarities between MLK and Charlie Kirk. They both used the gospel to change minds. King by oratory and Kirk through debate. Both were young when they died and left behind young families. They were both shot in the neck by a rifle from long range. Both were a threat to the established order. There were differences, however. MLK cheated on his wife many times over and I read that the night before Kings death he had tried to arrange an orgy. He was also a little too cozy with known Communists. As far as we know Charlie practiced what he preached as a Christian and was very faithful to his wife.

I was very angry yesterday and my mind was in a dark place when I heard the news about Charlie. Yet I think Charlie would be like MLK in that he would not want us to react to his death in a violent way. Instead we should even more boldly go forth into the world standing up for the gospel and the truth like Charlie did. The left is the only ones who reacts to tragedies like this in a violent manner. Or made up tragedies like in the case of George Floyd Conservatives are generally more religious and we have more to lose by becoming violent. We are too busy working and raising families. America is at war, however. Many of us haven't awakened to that fact yet. The left is out to silence us by any means necessary even if they have to kill us. The near assassination of Donald Trump and the assassination of Charlie is a warning to all of us. The message is that if you don't shut up you could be next. If it is war they want then bring it on. I don't want it for the sake of my family but I am not afraid. Charlie was truly irreplaceable. If not for Charlie turning around so many young minds I don't know if Trump could have even won in 2024. I believe that he would have been instrumental in helping us to win the midterms. It was his effectiveness that got him killed. Charlie's death may have created a legion of Charlie Kirks to fill his shoes. To borrow from Admiral Yamamoto after his attack on Pearl Harbor, I believe all the Democrats have done now is to awaken a sleeping giant.
