Reflections of An Uncommon Common Man

   The death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg has created a firestorm of controversy. The question is whether or not Trump should move to have a Conservative judge confirmed before the election. To me there is no debate. I say yes because our side should never pass up an opportunity like this and we all know that if the shoe was on the other foot, the Democrats would do the same thing. Judge Ginsburg was not a terrible person but she was terribly wrong far too many times in my view. On the issue of women's rights when women suffered true discrimination, during the same era that Blacks were suffering injustice, she was a true champion in the cause of justice. Ginsburg helped right the wrongs that were happening to women and she even helped some men who were suffering from monetary gender equality issues.  When I watch the Democrat party protect evildoers and tell the police to stand down while their BLM, and Antifa thugs wreak havoc I am reminded of another era of Democrat history. When 9 Black children tried to attend Little Rock Central High school in 1957 Democrat governor Orville Faubus called out the Arkansas National Guard to keep the kids out. Republican president Dwight Eisenhower was forced to send in the 101st Airborne to protect the children from the mob. Sadly there is no Republican president today willing to send in Federal troops to protect innocent people being attacked by Democrat mobs today. It is the same story today, however. Democrat governors do the bidding of the mob.  In the big Democrat cities like New York, Kenosha, Portland, Seattle, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Baltimore and San Francisco mayors tell police to stand down and allow the mob to kill, maim, beat innocent citizens and burn property.  By the time I was 23 years old there had been 4 major wars in the Middle East. The 1948 Arab-Israeli war, the 1956 Suez war, the 1967 Six Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The results of the 1948 war secured Israels right to exist as a nation. The 1956 war was an attempt to overthrow Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser by England, France and Israel. The 1967 Six Day War enabled Israel to capture Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. Finally the 1973 Yom Kippur War where Israel initially took a beating along with high casualties. Yet by the end of the war they were marching on Cairo. Only a near nuclear confrontation between the U.S. and the Soviet Union stopped the Israeli Army from advancing any further.    In the days and weeks following September 11th I was still grieving and very angry about what those 19 monsters led by their monster leader, Osama Bin Laden had done to my country. Every time I saw our flag, heard the National Anthem, a patriotic song or a picture of that day tears would well up in my eyes. For years I heard my family tell stories about how everyone united to defeat the Axis powers in WW2. The day after pearl harbor there were no isolationists left in America. Everyone rolled up their sleeves and contributed to fighting the war either here at home or overseas on the many battlefields of North Africa, Europe and the Pacific. For a fleeting moment I thought that I would see that renewal of a universal patriotic fervor that my family witnessed in WW2 but contrary to what many people might tell you now that unified patriotic spirit lasted maybe a day.    Black Lives Matter was founded by three Black women named Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometti. Patrisse Cullors stated in a interview that BLM is made up of "trained Marxists". In another interview Ms. Cullors proudly says that her mentor was Eric Mann who belonged to the domestic terrorist group Weather Underground in the late 1960's. Mann was convicted of attempting to kill two Boston police officers in 1969 and he was sentenced to two years in prison. The Communist radicals of the 1960's have trained people like Ms.Cullors and others to take their place spreading the cultural Marxist poison throughout our society. In a recorded phone conversation Ms. Cullors can be heard talking to Dr. Malina Abdullah who is a teacher of African studies at California State University in Los Angeles.  We have heard plenty from the left wing Democrat media about the so-called White supremacist, by their description, Kyle Rittenhouse, who faces a possible 170 years in prison for what at this point looks like a totally justifiable case of self defense but we know hardly anything at all about his attackers. Well I am always glad to do the work that the Democrat media refuses to do. The first man that Kyle shot was Joseph Rosenbaum from Waco Texas. During the demonstration, Rosenbaum threw a plastic bag at Rittenhouse, who was carrying a Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle. When the former tried to grab the rifle, the latter opened fire. Rosenbaum was shot in the back, groin and left hand. His pelvis was fractured and his right lung and liver were perforated. On December 16, 2002, he was convicted in Arizona and was sentenced to 12 and a half years for two counts of sexual conduct with a minor. The Democrats come out with these 11th hour supposed blockbuster accusations in an Atlantic magazine article by Jeffrey Goldberg that Trump was disrespectful to the military two years ago and has made disparaging remarks over the years. Jacob Miller, who was born in 1840 and died in 1917, was a private in Co. G of the 113th Illinois Infantry at the battle of Vicksburg, Mississippi. During the month of May 1863 Union forces tried to storm Confederate lines around the city of Vicksburg on several occasions. One of the Confederate redoubts was taken by volunteers. It would become known as the “charge of the volunteer storming party.” One of those who volunteered was Jacob Miller. During this charge on May 22, 1863, Miller was cited for his audacious courage and awarded the Medal of Honor.  Millers unit would eventually end up at the battle of Chickamauga near Chattanooga which was fought on September 19th and 20th 1863. Chickamauga was the 2nd worst battle of the Civil War just behind Gettysburg. Gettysburg had 51,000 casualties in three days as opposed to the 40,000 casualties at Chickamauga in two days.
