RAVENING WOLVES

 I was watching a documentary on Auschwitz today. It was about how the Allies learned about what was going on there in 1944 and the moral dilemma they faced trying to decide whether or not to bomb the camp and the rail lines leading into the camp. Some of the Jewish survivors were interviewed and they all said that they had no idea that what was about to happen to them when they arrived at the camp. Old men, women and children were told to walk to the left and the Jewish survivors were told to go to the right. This was the selection process. They said that they didn't realize that this was the last time that they would ever see their loved ones alive. One woman said that she thought her family had been gone to live in another section of the camp. Another woman thought that the crematoria was a bakery because of the smoke stacks. Not until later did they discover the horrible truth about the fate of their loved ones. The Jews were hated and had been mistreated since the Middle Ages so they simply adjusted to their environment. They had been relegated to live in Jewish ghettos and were only allowed to take jobs that the gentiles did not want. Yet, even they were not able to accept the fact, until it was too late, that the Nazi's actually wanted to exterminate them. They were like sheep led to the slaughter. 

Sheep are mentioned in the Bible over 500 times. Jesus is portrayed as both the unblemished lamb sacrificed for our sins and he is also portrayed as the good shepherd who sacrificed his life for his sheep.  In 1 Peter 18-19 says "You were ransomed...not with perishable things like silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb"  "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. In a secular sense the last thing I want to be classified as is a sheep. Unfortunately many if not most human beings fall into that category. Blindly following flawed and evil people or a false ideology to destruction. Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:15. In a spiritual sense I want to be a sheep that follows Jesus the good shepherd wherever he might lead me. He will never lead me astray. If I stay focused on him I can never go wrong. John 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 

Jesus will conduct his own selection one day. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. Matthew 25:3. Some of those goats will be the Nazi's who sent so many people to their deaths as well as the Hitler's, Stalin's, Mao's, Pol P.ot's, Castro's, Joe Biden's, serial killers and those who have rejected Christ. God will protect his people from evil by destroying it. Revelation 20:10 states: “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelation 20:10" Affliction shall not rise up the second time." Nahum 1:9.

Jayne Mansfield   Jayne Mansfield died way too young on June 29, 1967 at the age of 34 in a gruesome car wreck, She was killed instantly but contrary to urban legend she was not decapitated. Jayne was called the poor man's Marilyn Monroe. She had enjoyed about a four year stint of popularity on Broadway and in Hollywood from 1954 until 1958. Her career was in decline in the late 50's and early 60's but she was still popular in Europe and on the nightclub circuit. Her second husband was a former Mr. Universe named Mickey Hargitay who was from Norway. The third and last husband was Matt Cimber. Mansfield was highly educated, attending Southern Methodist University, the University of Texas and U.C.L.A. She supposedly had an IQ of 163 and was called the smartest dumb blonde ever. NASHVILLE AND JESSE JAMES

The James brothers with their mother Zerelda James   Most everyone has heard of the notorious outlaws Jesse and Frank James, however; did you know that they lived in Nashville from 1875 until March 1881? Jesse's oldest son Jesse James Jr. was born in Nashville along with his sister Mary. Jesse Jr. was born at 606 Boscobel Street on August 31, 1875. Mary was born on West Hamilton Road in Bordeaux on July 17, 1879. Jesse Jr. went by the name Tim and as far as he knew his last name was Howard. He and his sister would not know their real last names until after Jesse was killed in 1882. Jesse and his wife Zerelda would also lose two male twins in infancy.  Jesse's brother Frank lived on Clarksville Pike. While living there he and his wife Annie Ralston James gave birth to a son named Robert Franklin on February 6, 1877. For a time he would be dressed as a girl and go by the name of Mary. CHARLIE PARKHURST

  Charlie Parkhurst aka One-eyed Charlie, Cockeyed Charlie, or Six Horse Charlie was born in 1812 in Vermont. Eventually he made his way out west to California where he became a teamster and one of the most skilled stagecoach drivers in history. He was small in stature but tough. Shortly after becoming a stagecoach driver for the California Stage Company he was kicked in the face by a horse and blinded in one eye. Charlie began his reputation as a tough driver when a robber named "Sugarfoot" held up his stage one day. Taken by surprise his only option was to give up his strong box. Six months later the Sugarfoot hit him again but Charlie was prepared this time. He blew him away with a shotgun at point blank range. Without blinking his good eye he rode off at a full gallop leaving the robber dead in the road.   He was an expert shot and an expert with a bull whip.
