UNMASKED

 Florida recently passed a law that people sixteen years and above cannot wear a mask or cover their face while protesting. I love this law and have advocated for this going back to the Obama administration when rioters were covering their faces. I refuse to call them protesters. They are the true insurrectionists and like their forefathers the Ku Klux Klan they are cowards. Groups like Antifa, Black Lives Matter and other Communist groups serve the same purpose as the Klan, and Hitler's Brown shirts. The Klan was the terrorist arm of the Democrat party and these modern groups are also terrorist arms of the Democrats. Their primary purpose is to intimidate and obstruct. The Klan was used to intimidate and terrorize black voters in the South as well as white Republicans who were trying to enforce Federal law. Today the purpose of these modern thugs is to obstruct the enforcement of Federal immigration laws and to intimidate any political opposition to Democrat policies. We need a Federal mask law and I intend to write my Congressional representatives requesting one today. The penalty should be stiff. A year in prison for the first offense, three years for a second offense and ten years for a third, or something along those lines.

 The Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 did not specifically ban masks or face coverings but it did say that anyone who disguised themselves in the commission of a crime for the purpose of violating a person's constitutional rights or intimidating them regarding those rights were subject to being arrested and in violation of the law. Individual states passed anti-mask laws directed toward the Klan, especially in the 1920's and 30's when the Klan enjoyed its largest membership and was in all 48 states. I love Florida. They usually take the lead on passing sound common sense legislation. One law that they recently passed is that if your car is being surrounded by a mob you have the legal right to run over them in order to escape. That law also needs to be Federal law. The recent call for ICE agents to be unmasked is nonsensical because the very people calling for this are the ones trying to expose them and their families which endangers their lives and safety. Covering their faces is sound common sense and does not denote cowardice. I have nothing but respect for these officers who are risking their lives every day. Attacks on ICE agents have increased over 700% since president Trump has been in office. They are unfairly targeted for criticism and doing a thankless job. As far as these cowardly Antifa Fascist thugs go the masks need to come off.
