MISSING A BLESSING

 I get very irritated at people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome because it just makes no sense to me. TDS is not rational. We joke about how if Trump cured cancer people would still hate him. Sadly, that is not a joke. No matter what good he does or what he accomplishes people are going to hate him. We can debate whether this is a mental disorder or demonic but it is real nevertheless. Calm down, I am not comparing Trump to Jesus but he healed people and raised them from the dead. Somehow that made people angry enough to crucify him on a cross. So this kind of hatred has been around for a long time.

 Personally, I feel sad for these people. Not to say that Trump doesn't have his flaws and there are things that I wish he would do better but he has been magnificent in his second term. I feel that I am witness to a season of American history every bit as significant as the age of Washington and Lincoln. I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to live through this time and being a witness to it. Maybe this is a bad analogy but when my oldest granddaughter was born her biological father failed to step up to the plate and be a father to her. She needed a father and although I was her grandfather I assumed that role and received God's blessing in return. I was able to experience the father daughter relationship that he chose to ignore and I was well compensated for it. She calls me daddy, something denied to her biological father. He is just the sperm donor now but that is the choice that he made.

 So, I guess what I am saying is that the people who hate Trump are missing a blessing. God's hand is on this man. To have survived two impeachments in his first term, a coup attempt. A stolen election, lawfare, attempts at bankrupting him. Attempts at putting him in jail for life and two assassination attempts I tell you that God's hand is on this man. If you are too blind to see God working in his life then you are the one to be pitied. You are the one missing the blessing. As for me I wouldn't miss it for the world.

  Allen Platt was like many bigoted Southern white men in 1954. He would say 'My dad always said Blacks had their place,'' This belief was challenged in October 1954. The Lake County Florida Sheriff Willis McCall paid Platt a visit in his  Mount Dora home. There had been complaints about his children. There were many people who believed the family was Black because of their dark skin color and curly hair. McCall was pretty sure that they had ''nigra'' blood, as he called it. The sheriff told him "You don't belong here. You are trying to mix with white people." Platt told him 'I'm as White as you are and come from better stock." Under the law at that time you were accepted into White society if you only had one-sixteenth black blood. If you had one-eighth you were considered Black. NASHVILLE AND JESSE JAMES

The James brothers with their mother Zerelda James   Most everyone has heard of the notorious outlaws Jesse and Frank James, however; did you know that they lived in Nashville from 1875 until March 1881? Jesse's oldest son Jesse James Jr. was born in Nashville along with his sister Mary. Jesse Jr. was born at 606 Boscobel Street on August 31, 1875. Mary was born on West Hamilton Road in Bordeaux on July 17, 1879. Jesse Jr. went by the name Tim and as far as he knew his last name was Howard. He and his sister would not know their real last names until after Jesse was killed in 1882. Jesse and his wife Zerelda would also lose two male twins in infancy.  Jesse's brother Frank lived on Clarksville Pike. While living there he and his wife Annie Ralston James gave birth to a son named Robert Franklin on February 6, 1877. For a time he would be dressed as a girl and go by the name of Mary.
