THE PARTY OF CHAOS

There is a scene in the movie Lone Survivor where a Navy SEAL team runs into a group of Afghan goat herders. The SEAL team tries to avoid detection but are discovered. The goat herders are captured and the SEAL team is faced with a moral dilemma. This movie is based on the real life Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan. It's goal was to disrupt the operations of Taliban militias in the area. It took place in the Summer of 2005. Upon capturing these Afghan locals the four SEAL team members begin arguing over what to do with them. Since they are isolated and so close to the enemy they basically had three options. Kill them, tie them up and gag them or let them go. They know that if they let them go it will only be a matter of time before they are confronted with overwhelming odds but they they decide  that choosing this option would keep them out of trouble with the political left and the mainstream media. They let them go and predictably the goat herders ran back to their village to quickly inform the Afghan militia of the SEALS presence. The SEALS hoped that they could be rescued before the militia arrives. As usually happens Murphy's Law kicked in and everything worked against the SEAL team. Because of the mountains their communications gear didn't work. The Afghan's arrived on scene and a vicious battle ensued in which all of the SEALS were killed but Marcus Luttrell. A rescue attempt was made and an Army Chinook helicopter was shot down killing all on board. In total nineteen servicemen lost their lives in this operation because of the doubt created in the minds of the SEAL team by the left and the deep state. If they had killed the goat herders, or tied them up there is a chance that all nineteen American's that were killed would be alive today. This SEAL team unnecessarily risked their lives and the lives of others because of what the Democrat controlled CNN would think. Essentially they were worried about being charged with war crimes and spending years in Leavenworth prison.

No military in the world, perhaps with the exception of the Israeli military does more to prevent collateral casualties than the American military. Even so it is the best in the world. Since WW2 the American military has sacrificed thousands of men and women due to incompetent Democrat leadership and stupid rules of engagement. Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Jimmy Carter's failed hostage rescue attempt called Operation Eagle Claw, and Black Hawk Down in Somalia under Bill Clinton in 1993. In 1968 during the TET Offensive leftist journalist Walter Cronkite said that Vietnam was an unwinnable war. TET turned out to be one of our greatest victories in Vietnam but because of Cronkite's statement the War in Vietnam took a drastic turn for the worse when in reality if we had a good president and good leadership we were poised to win that war. President Johnson was supposed have said, "If I have lost Cronkite I have lost the country". Which wasn't true. Polls showed that the average American's always wanted to win that war. We just felt like nobody in government was serious about winning it. No war is unwinnable when a powerful country like America has the will to win.. The Vietnam War was lost here at home, not on the battlefields of Vietnam. All of the wars in the Twentieth and now the Twenty First century could have been avoided with good political leadership but once we commit, regardless of the reason we owe it to our military men and women to win. Although I am not a huge fan of Douglas MacArthur he was right about one thing. "There is no substitute for victory". Otherwise their sacrifice is in vain. There is nothing of greater value than a human life and we cheapen the lives of our military when we don't win.

So here we go again. Six Democrat Senators are sowing the seeds of sedition by telling our military not to obey unlawful orders. This gives a green light to the weakest of our military to disobey any order that they disagree with politically. I also think that they are setting the stage for impeaching Trump and charging military members with war crimes if they ever regain power. This is also part of a Color Revolution designed to create chaos and confusion. As a 21 year veteran I served under LBJ, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. It was drummed into us not to obey unlawful orders. I can't see myself gunning down civilians at My Lai like some of our soldiers did. They would have to kill me before I would obey an order like that. Like most military members I was a professional. I despised Bill Clinton but I would have obeyed any lawful order authorized by him regardless if I agreed with him politically or not. Our unit was tasked to help provide security for him and any president when or if they came to Nashville. I would have risked my life to protect him if placed in that position against an armed assassin. This should be the mindset of all members of the military. I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I did not swear an oath to protect and defend the political interests of the Democrat or Republican party. Trump must be strong enough to harshly deal with these traitors, and others like them, or we won't have a country worth fighting for.
