Reflections of An Uncommon Common Man

There was another shooting at a military base. Yesterday, at Fort Stewart Georgia Quornelius Radford shot and wounded 5 of his coworkers. Luckily no one was killed this time. The worst shooting ever on a military base was at Fort Hood Texas on November 5, 2009. A radicalized Islamic soldier, Nidal Hassan killed 13 and wounded 30. Obama refused to call it what it was, a terrorist attack. He called it workplace violence instead. There have been a number of mass shootings on military bases over the years and of all places they should not be gun free zones. Most military personnel, regardless of the career field that they ultimately end up in are trained to fire rifles, properly care for them, and how to safely handle them in basic training and boot camp. I believe the Navy trains with handguns in boot camp. Career fields such as MP's, pilots, special warfare, infantry, and others are taught how to use handguns.
