 I remember hearing Nikita Khruschev utter these words as a child during the late 1950's, which was the height of the Cold War. I never worried too much about this until I began to see the real influence of Communism on America during the 1960's and 70's as a result of the Vietnam War. Even when I was a Democrat I knew the party was being heavily influenced by Communists but I considered it a fringe element. The party seemed to change after the 1972 presidential election. I am convinced that it is in essence the American Communist Party today. The American Communist Party used to run a candidate for president every four years. In 1948 Henry Wallace, who had been Vice President under FDR from 1941 until 1945 was the presidential candidate of the ACP in 1948. Luckily FDR didn't die during those years. I remember a guy named Gus Hall who ran as the ACP candidate almost every presidential election for many years. Now the ACP doesn't bother to run candidates. They simply endorse whomever the Democrats nominee is.

I laugh when I hear people talking about Zohran Mamdani possibly becoming the first Communist elected to the mayorship of a big city. If anyone thinks he will be the first Communist elected as a mayor of a city they are either ignorant or naive. Almost everyone in the Democrat party is a Communist. The mayor of LA, Karen Bass, was an organizer for the Cuban Venceremos Brigade for many years. It's purpose was to radicalize young people into Communist ideology. The Brigade was also a terrorist training program. Bass also has ties to the Communist terror group the Weather Underground which wreaked havoc during the 1980's. There are many Democrats with ties to these groups. Does anyone think that the mayor of Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Baltimore, Seattle, Memphis or Nashville just to name a few aren't Communists? Obama is a Communist. He was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis and learned his trade from the writings of Saul Alinsky. Hillary Clinton was part of the Anti war movement of the 60's and a student of Alinsky. I could continue but you get the picture.

There are two kinds of Communists. The Communists who proudly join the ACP or other Communist groups. Then there are the little c Communists who try to conceal their true ideology but their actions betray who they really are. All will deny their true identity at election time. Learn who our true enemies are. Let's quit using the terms that provide cover for these people like liberals and progressives. When they say democracy is in danger they really mean the Democrat party is in danger. Which is always a good thing. Let's call these snakes what they really are. Communists. We must defeat them at every turn or Khruschev's words will soon become a reality.

Jayne Mansfield   Jayne Mansfield died way too young on June 29, 1967 at the age of 34 in a gruesome car wreck, She was killed instantly but contrary to urban legend she was not decapitated. Jayne was called the poor man's Marilyn Monroe. She had enjoyed about a four year stint of popularity on Broadway and in Hollywood from 1954 until 1958. Her career was in decline in the late 50's and early 60's but she was still popular in Europe and on the nightclub circuit. She took her last name from her high school sweetheart Paul Mansfield when she married him at the age of seventeen. Her second husband was a former Mr. Universe named Mickey Hargitay who was from Norway. The third and last husband was Matt Cimber. CARNTON PLANTATION

   My first association with the Carnton Plantation in Franklin was when I would see the old house while hunting for Civil War relics in the early 1970's. There is a subdivision near Carnton today in the area where I hunted when it was primarily farm land. I knew it was an antebellum home but I wasn't aware of how historic Carnton was. It was in a horrible state of disrepair and I have learned since then that a farmer was using the house as his hay barn. In 1977 the owner of the property donated the house and ten acres to the Carnton Association and they have done a fantastic job of restoring the plantation to it's former glory. Originally the McGavock's owned 1400 acres. It was built by Randall McGavock in the 1820's. He was mayor of Nashville and a close friend of Andrew Jackson and James K. Polk. THE PLATT FAMILY

  Allen Platt was like many bigoted Southern white men in 1954. He would say 'My dad always said Blacks had their place,'' This belief was challenged in October 1954. The Lake County Florida Sheriff Willis McCall paid Platt a visit in his  Mount Dora home. There had been complaints about his children. There were many people who believed the family was Black because of their dark skin color and curly hair. McCall was pretty sure that they had ''nigra'' blood, as he called it. The sheriff told him "You don't belong here. You are trying to mix with white people." Platt told him 'I'm as White as you are and come from better stock." Under the law at that time you were accepted into White society if you only had one-sixteenth black blood. If you had one-eighth you were considered Black.
