WINNING THE WAR AND LOSING THE PEACE

One of my goals in life is to try to convince as many people as I can before I die that there is not that much difference between the Democrat party of the 1800's and the Democrat party of the 21st century. Yes, their constituencies have changed and they are mostly Communists today but their goals are essentially the same. Maintain power to protect the immoral and twisted priorities of the wealthy party oligarchs. Whether it was the slaveowner, or the big city and state corrupt political bosses. Or the powerful globalist oligarchs of today. They do this by using the same violent tactics. In the old South it was the Klan and today it is Communist thugs such as Antifa and BLM. Their ultimate tactic is always to divide and conquer. They pit the common man against themselves when in reality we have more in common with each other than we do with the Democrat leaders that divide us. As always the Democrats are obsessed with race. One of my favorite scenes from the movie (Free State Of Jones) is when the Southern resistance fighters led by Newton Knight were having a pig roast. His soldiers were a mixture of slaves and Confederate deserters fighting against the Confederacy. In this scene a slave helps himself to a piece of the pork. A white man tells him that the pig is not for niggers. The slave tells him that essentially he is a nigger too. Meaning that they had more in common with each other than they had in common with the wealthy slaveowners that had caused the war in the first place.

The war was not North against South but Democrats against Republicans. Until we see it that way we will never truly understand the war, or most of American history. Yes, Democrats fought alongside Republicans against the South but their motives were not the same. They had no problem with slavery or racism. Their motive was to preserve the Union. The Republican party on the other hand was formed for mainly two reasons in 1854. To stop the spread of slavery into the territories and abolish polygamy. Sure, Republicans also wanted to save the Union but they were either anti-slavery men like Lincoln who opposed slavery on moral and practical grounds but were willing to compromise. Slavery could exist where it already existed but they didn't want it to spread. A smaller number of Republicans were outright abolitionists. Their primary goal was the abolition of slavery and the most radical were willing even to sacrifice the Union if the end of slavery was achieved.

When the war ended with a Northern victory the Republicans not only freed the slaves but tried very hard to protect the civil rights of the Freedman. The Democrats fought them at every turn. Black and white Republicans were intimidated, whipped, tortured and lynched in an attempt to keep blacks from voting or holding office. From 1865 until 1877 the Republicans had a measure of success. Blacks were able to vote and hold office. There were black sheriffs, mayors, governors, state and Federal legislators. This was enforced by military force and laws, however. Then things began to unravel. An economic depression hit in 1873 and the Republicans lost power to the Democrats in the 1874 midterm elections. Republicans in the north were becoming war weary. We had lost 750,000 soldiers in the war and the Democrat resistance in the South was wearing down the Republican faithful who had fought for so long. Now there was a mood of reconciliation within the party. In one of the closest presidential elections in history Republican Rutherford B. Hayes agreed to end reconstruction in the South in exchange for the electoral votes he needed to win the presidency. After he was inaugurated in 1877 blacks were surrendered to the mercy of the Democrat party. Fewer and fewer blacks were elected to office and they would eventually lose the right to vote. Slavery was replaced by segregation and would not end until the 1960's mostly with the help of the Republican party. You can say that the Democrats lost the Civil War but won the peace.

Fast forward to today. Whoever was leading the country during the Biden years let in 20 million or more illegals. They knew what they were doing. There is no way we will ever be able to deport that many people. Trump is doing a great job at trying to get the worst of the worst out but he will never be able to deport the majority. Yes, deportation is popular right now but wait until the Democrats find their Rosa Parks of illegal immigrants. They tried it with the Maryland man but they couldn't pull it off because he was just another common thug. I believe that eventually this fight will go the way of Reconstruction. We will eventually tire of Democrat resistance. When we see that the majority of people being deported are not criminals but just regular hardworking people I believe that Americans will not have the stomach to continue the fight. I will never give up because I know what is at stake but everyone is not as diehard as I am. We constantly hear about illegals whose only crime is that they entered the country illegally. Really? How many of those illegals are driving without a driver's license?. How many of them have insurance on their vehicles? How many leave the scene of an accident because they don't have a license or insurance? How many drive drunk? How many are working on stolen social security numbers? Also how many are receiving welfare benefits on our dime and illegally voting in elections. I guess we can say that we won the war by electing Donald Trump but will we win the peace? I hope I am wrong but I highly doubt it.
