THAT DANGEROUS DOCUMENT- THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

  The following document is the most dangerous document on earth. It is something that the left fears more than anything else. They fear it so much that they refuse to teach it to our children and they degrade it by saying that it is outdated and no longer relevant. In my mind it is the most relevant man made document in existence. Only the Bible ranks higher in my opinion..

  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness__ That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just rights from the consent of the governed__That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying it's foundation on such principles and organizing it's powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security__

  Notice that the Founding Fathers were not into moral relevancy or political correctness. They said that there were truths that were self evident. They recognized that there were certain facts that could not be argued against .The definition of self evident is without argument. That there is a God and there are certain rights given by God. If God gives a right he is the only one that can take it away. Life is given by God and he is the only one that can remove that right. John Locke in his Second Treatise of Government said that the right to liberty did not apply to chattel slaves. Thomas Jefferson interpreted the right of liberty to extend to slaves but he realized that society in 1776 was not prepared to do this. He gave us, however; the foundation of future liberty for all people. This was the new birth of freedom that Lincoln talked about in the Gettysburg Address. The pursuit of Happiness meant that all men had a right to own property and to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Jefferson knew that Government was a necessary evil and was prone to usurp powers it did not possess. Whenever a government usurped too many of our inalienable rights over a long period it was up to us to determine if our government is guilty of tyranny. Once we made a valid case it was not only our right but our duty to alter or abolish our government. The people in the beginning only allowed government to have minimal rights in order to secure most of our rights. One can make a strong case that we have long since passed that point in America and it is time to take the Declaration of Independence at face value. This is why tyrants fear this document. It is their potential death warrant.
