A good friend of mine is always complaining that the conservatives come across as mean spirited and unwilling to compromise on the issue of illegal immigration. I argue that true conservatives are right in line with the American people on this issue. Polls have consistently shown that the American people do not want amnesty. This was one of many reasons that Republicans won such an overwhelming victory in November. The American people are simply wanting the Republicans to stop Obama and his policies. The Republican victory was not a pro Republican victory but an anti-Obama victory. The Republicans, for the most part, are not conservative but they won on conservative issues. They, the Republicans, treat true conservatives in the party like red-headed step-children. In 1994 the overwhelming victory of Republicans was a conservative victory. Not an establishment Republican victory. For once the Republican Party led by Newt Gingrich had a plan for change called the (Contract With America) and the American voters responded to it. Like Obamacare now, the voters then were angry over the attempt to pass Hillarycare. Another medical boondoggle. In 2010 Republicans won back the House because of the Tea Party and their conservative ideas. We hear that the Tea Party is a fringe group that is ineffective. The Tea Party is under attack by the liberals, the media and the establishment Republicans. If they are so ineffective then why did Obama try to quiet them by unlawfully using the IRS against them in order to take them out of the 2012 election? Why are the media and the Republicans trying so hard to destroy the Tea Party if they are not a threat? Now the Republicans have won a huge victory on conservative principles but they have no intention of fulfilling the wishes of the American people.
Liberals have to get what they want through lies, deceit, and pure force. This is because if they told the truth they would never be elected. They might get elected in the largest cities like San Francisco and Boston , but never anywhere else. So they lie, deceive, use executive orders, the courts and any other tactics they can to get what they want because they are always in the minority. True conservatives will always have the people on their side. Problem is most Republicans are not conservatives. They also lie and deceive to get elected. They pass themselves off as conservatives in order to capture the conservative vote. Problem is conservatives are pretty smart people and they are seeing through this more and more. This is why establishment Republican presidential candidates are not winning elections. The conservatives in larger and larger numbers are staying home. They are tired of wasting their vote. If a Jeb Bush or a Mitt Romney runs in 2016 they will not be elected. Conservative voters are tired of being enablers.
So this leads us back to amnesty. Am I against immigration? No and the American people are not against immigration. Nor are they anti-Hispanic, or anti any other race. Anybody in their right mind knows that we are a nation of immigrants. That many if not most of the new inventions and innovations come from the legal immigrant populations. This has always been the case. Most Americans believe in the idea of a (melting pot). We all came from somewhere other than the North American continent. Even the Indians are immigrants. They came from Asia. We welcome all those committed to enter our country legally and who wish to assimilate. In other words those who may want to preserve their original culture and language so as not to forget their roots. However their main goal should be to take on the unique personality, culture and language of the American people above all else.
I believe that the majority of the American people feel the way I do. We will be glad to consider amnesty for the most deserving illegals once the government has convinced us that it has secured our borders. That means not only our southern and northern borders but our seaports and airports. The system is not broken. It is our politicians that are broken. Democrats and Republicans alike want an unlimited flow of illegals. Both parties want their vote but the Republicans especially want their cheap labor. The security and welfare of the country be damned. It is illegal immigration that is overwhelming our welfare, educational, medical, and prison system. Americans are dying everyday at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals and impaired drivers.Terrorists are entering our country. The September 11, 2001 terrorists were illegal. Diseases that were once eradicated in America are making a comeback.. Illegal immigration is a big part of our eighteen trillion dollar deficit problem. In addition to securing our borders we must diminish the allure of coming to America illegally. Employers should be fined and imprisoned for hiring them. Welfare, public education, and all entitlements should be denied. This will prevent mass deportations because they will have no choice but to leave willingly. Obama's amnesty will create an immigration nightmare because it is an open invitation for the third world to flood America. The quality of all of our lives will diminish over time.
The reality of it all is that my plan or anything like it will never be implemented. It is a pipe dream. Both parties want amnesty. The Republicans will squander the opportunity they now have to set the nation on the right course because they have sold out to the Chamber of Commerce and like the Democrats the Republicans are corrupt. Boehner, McConnell, Alexander and Corker have sold their souls to the Devil. America doesn't need a Tea Party. It needs a Pitch Fork Party. A political party of like minded Americans that is ready to scare the hell out of these people. I am not asking for a violent revolution yet. I am asking for a redress of grievances. America is crying out for leadership right now. God help us but we have none. It is up to the people to bring about real change and hope. Give your support to credentialed conservative candidates that are consistently conservative. This is not about right or left, but about right and wrong. We must find a way to get the attention of these people or America, our children and grandchildren will have a very uncertain future.
